Top 3 Favorite Teas - Spring Edition
Spring is the most beautiful season of the year.Flowers are blooming, grass is growing
and new life is forming. Spring is also a great time to try new teas. There's black tea, green tea, herbal
tea just to name a few. The bitter beverage has been around for thousands of years and has grown
very popular in recent years. It's used in place of coffee, goes well with snacks and and desserts.
Some are also used for medicinal purposes.... but we won't be talking about that today.
Today, I want to share with you three of my favorite tea flavors. We'll talk about what they
taste like, how long to steep them, and the best way( in my opinion) to drink them. This is my own
opinion.
Jasmine Green Tea: This has to be my absolute favorite tea.Green tea has so many
antioxidants and is so good for you. Now, Jasmine just brings your green tea up to a whole new
level...or two. It's amazing hot, but you can drink it with ice too. I don't add any sweetener to my
teas, but it would be great with honey. Steep for about 2 to 3 minutes. Enjoy with rice dishes slightly
sweet treats.
Peppermint: Peppermint tea is an herbal tea. It has no tea leaves in the mix. Just good old
fashioned peppermint leaves. The fresh taste of peppermint is just ans refreshing as mint gum. It's the
best tea to enjoy on Spring afternoons and tastes best over ice. Steep for about 2 minutes. Don't
steep this one for too long or it will taste bitter; I found this out the hard way.
Peach: Peach tea is also and herbal tea. It's usually made with peach blossoms and is mixed
with other herbs and flowers. It's best enjoyed cold over ice with yummy snacks. Steep it the same as
the others. Honey is a great choice to sweeten this tea.
Well, there you have it. My Top 3 favorite teas for Spring. Teas are nice and refreshing,
perfect for warm Spring days. I like to drink mine outside in the sunlight. How do you like to enjoy
your tea? What's your favorite part about Spring? Let me know in the comments below. Have a
sweet day!

Iced Black Tea with Hibiscus
It's probably way too late for a new post for the day but I just had to post a new recipe tonight.
Lately, I've been stressing out because I haven't posted in a while. I just didnt know what my next post was going to be about. Thanks to this miserable heat I have been inspired to give you a super easy recipe for iced tea.
If you love the tartness of the hibiscus flower then you are going to love this tea. If not don't worry I have added some sweetness to tone it down a bit.
So, lets get to it.
The Recipe:
10oz. Hot water
1 black tea bag
1 hibiscus tea bag
Ice
1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
Raw sugar to taste
Directions:
1. In 10 oz. of hot water steep the black tea and the hibiscus tea for 3 to 5 minutes.
2. Pour tea into a glass filled with ice.
3. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla
4. Add raw sugar to taste. Stir well. Also add more ice if need.
And there you have it, a nice refreshing glass of iced black tea with hibiscus. Enjoy!

Single Serving Cinnamon White Hot Chocolate
I've been having some issues with keeping up with my posts( hubby doesn't like that I blog). I am trying to post as often as I can and I have tons of recipe ideas. Ok, enough rambling here is the recipe. I hope you all like it. I also wanted to thank you all for sticking with me.
Ingrediants:
1 cup milk
1 Tbl. white chocolate chips
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Heat milk in a mug in the microwave for 2 minutes.
2. Add white chocolate chips and stir until melted completly.
3. Add vanilla and cinnamon. Stir well and enjoy.
Makes a single serving. If you try this recipe or any of my other recipes I would love to hear what you think. This is a very sweet drink and if you want a milder white chocolate flavor you can always add less white chocolate. Have fun and enjoy.

An Idea for a Homemade Fancy Coffee
One day, a couple of weeks ago I was tired of just coffee so I added a few things. This is just a simple idea if you want to change up your regular coffee.
No picture today, but I don't think you will need one.
What you will need:
Vanilla flavored instant coffee
Milk
1 tsp. sugar (or less)
whipped cream
cinnamon
What to do:
1. Make the instant coffee as directed.
2. Add milk and sugar to your liking. (can alson use a none dairy creamer)
3. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
That's it. I know it's not much, but it's good. Maybe you will be inspired to try your own coffee combination. You can also use coffee flavoring instead of the vanilla flavored coffee. I hope you like it. You could even add a piece of chocolate.

Sparkling Peach Lemonade
One of the things that reminds me of summer as a child is lemonade. I wanted to get the feeling of never ending summer back, at least for a little while and try to make it. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture for this one, but it's really easy to make.
What you will need:
3/4 cup lemon juice ( about 6 lemons)
1 peach
1 1/2 liters sparkling water
1 1/2 cupa of sugar; or more if needed.
What to do:
1. Sqeeze the lemon juice into a measuring cup and pour into a pitcher.
2. Cut a peach into in half and remove the pit. Then cut the 2 pieces in half again. Romove the middle and the skin. Cut the peach into small chunks.
3. Put the peaches into the pitcher and smash them with a spoon to release the flavor of the peach.
4. Pour the sparkling water into the pitcher. Then add the sugar and mix. Add more sugar if needed. Add some lemon slices to garnish.
