Rose Quartz Garden Bracelet and Simple Drop Earrings

             A few weeks ago I was standing in my craft room staring blankly into the closet.

I was looking to see what I had and what would spark inspiration. Have you ever had one of those

days where you want to be creative but you don't know what to make? Well, that was how I was

feeling. Let me tell you, I get stuck, really get stuck. I will find myself looking at those

wonderful things to create with and no ideas at all. Nothing. A creative void of emptiness and there

no escape..... Okay, that might have a little bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea.

     
            After pulling myself out of my funk I decided to take all of  my beads out and see what I had

to work with. Turns out I had quite a bit. Looking at greens, purples, and pinks and then looking at

them again; (dramatic pause)and maybe a few more times after that. I found the perfect color

combos for my next couple of projects.

        Now to lay out all the pieces and put it all together. You know, putting jewelry together is a lot

like putting a puzzle together. You lay the pieces out, organize and start assembling. Then you make

a huge mess and then look for all the pieces, find you are missing some and spend half an hour

looking for all the tiny pieces. Finally, you get everything together and you are super excited.

            The earrings are very simple and elegant. They were so simple to make. Just take a headpin ( 

these have a little ball on the end). Add some beads in a cute design and attach to the fish hook 

earrings with some pliers by making a loop. So easy and you can customize the colors.

              The Garden Bracelet has a cute little rose dangle on one end and in the middle is a nice 

a tree branch or vine. Just string some Rose Quartz on two pieces of jewelry wire and attach them to 

the branch with a crimping bead. Do the same to secure both ends. I always give a little tug to make 

sure all the ends are secure. I made and added the dangle or drop the same way I made the earrings. 

Make sure to measure your wrist before you cut the wire to make sure it's the right size.

Now, go to your craft room and get creative. If you get stuck that's okay. Inspiration is everywhere,

Green Aventurine for Spring

                                     Green Aventurine is on of my favorite semiprecious stones. It

helps with stress and we all need a little stressful relief every once in a while. The

little red ones next are garnet chips. Aren't  they pretty? Let's just sit here for a

moment and appreciate the beautiful deep red color. What semiprecious stone

speaks to you the most?

                                      When I was little I loved them all. I even had a small rock

collection. I loved examining each one to see what was hidden in them. I still can't

get enough of them. Now, I make jewelry with them. Let's  get started with this

tutorial.  You won't need much and it's  super easy to make.


                  Supplies:
   
              Green Aventurine beads

               Garnet chips

               Glass pearls

               Stretchy jewelry string.

                Brush on nail glue


        Note: You can get all of these these things at your local bead store or craft store.

The nail glue you can get at any retail store.

                  Step 1: measure your wrist to make sure you have enough string and cut the string.

                  Step 2: Sting the Green Aventurine until you are happy with the amount.

Remember, not to put to many or you won't have room for the other beads.

                  Step 3: Add the Garnet then the glass pearls. Test it out around your wrist

before you tie it.

                  Step4: Tie the string in a know a few times. And then brush the glue onto

the knot to make sure it doesn't come untied. Be careful and don't touch to glue. Let

it dry for a few hours and now you have a beautiful stretch bracelet to wear.

Shimmering Sea Necklace

       It has been a long time since I have had a good inspirational moment while making jewelry. I love when inspiration pops into my head out of no where. Don't you?

       I was sitting on my living room floor trying to match colors to create a design. Group after group of beautiful beads and I had nothing. It's so frustrating to have no ideas coming in when you are in a creative mood. Upset, I decided to take a break. Then, as I began to zoned out on some t.v. the idea started to trickle into my head. Why not use chain with the beads in my design. What a revelation! Well, it was for me. You see, I was stuck in a bead only rut. Nothing wrong with that. I love stringing. I just needed something different.
     
       So, I took out my jewelry chain and then thought about my new favorite color, turquoise. Small obsession nothing to worry about...yet. I took the wonderful turquoise glass pearls out the baggie and added them to my design board. The white shell coins came next, then the white pearls and crystal bicones. Let's not forget the amazonite chips. After that assembly was a snap along with a couple of pinches on my finger from the pliers. Ouch!

       It's one of my favorite pieces. I'm very proud of it and hope you like it too. This piece reminds me of  the ocean and how we all need to stop and spend a little time appreciate the things that we miss when we are busy in our regular daily lives. Have a beautiful day.

Glass Pearl Necklace

It has taken a little while for me to post this necklace,  but I'm finally getting around to it. It's beautiful and elegant.  It's not just a necklace it's also a wrap bracelet. I had so much fun making it and can't wait to make another one. I have some more sewing projects coming up and some other things in the works too. I hope you all are as excited as I am.

Mother Daughter Necklace

This is a simple mother daughter necklace that I made recently.  The rose color is my daughter's and the glass pearl is mine. They are really easy to make.

A Bit of Sparkle

I hope everyone is have a wonderful Saturday so far. I wanted to share this bracelet that I made yesterday.  I always like to add some semi precious stones and a little sparkle to my jewelry.  It's a 7 1/2 inch bracelet made with glass beads, rose quartz, glass pearls and income crystals.  Let me know what you think. Day 4: Simple and Elegant Necklace

                  This is a beautiful necklace made of glass pearls and grey metal chain. It would go great almost anything. This took a little longer to make than the earrings but it was fun to see the necklace grow as the beads went on. I thought about adding more colors, then I decided not to after putting the last bead on. Enjoy Day 4, there is still so much more to come.

                   These earrings would make a lovely gift for any girl. Simple, Sparkly, and Handmade.
I love making jewelry and just had to share these with you all. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Jewelry is so easy to make. I learned by watching videos and reading books. Also, with trends constantly changing there is always something new to learn. These were so much fun to make and took only about 20 minutes.
