Spring placemats- Garden Walk

Happy first day of March everyone! Soon flowers will be blooming,

birds will be chirping and nature will be screaming Spring. It's my favorite time of

year. A time for new life to begin and new adventures to be taken. what are your

favorite things about this time of year?

There are so many things I have planned for this season. Before I get

into that let's talk about February. How was the month of love for you? Was it fun

and exciting? New and full of wonder? Just everyday life? Remember that in the

everyday life there are fun and exciting, new and full of wonder everywhere you go.

You just have to know where to look. Take time to look around when out and about;

running errands and take time to appreciate the world around you. it's a good stress reliever, you know?

February, for me, was a normal month. Not a lot of stress some goals

were met. I lost 15lbs and gained energy. I've also started reflecting on my life and

other goals I have for myself. Time was not wasted for sure. I've also made some

sewing and baking goals.

1. Make some throw pillows.

2. Work on and finish my second quilt.

3. Get up the nerve to sew clothes.

4. learn how to bake and make my own recipes that are low carb.

5. Decorate the craft room.

Okay, so, number five isn't specifically sewing, but it will have a mini quilt on the

wall and some pillows on the futon.

Although sewing has been slow I did finish some beautiful Spring placemats. They

inspired me to start bringing florals and bright colors into my home.

Pretty aren't they? I know, you're probably tired of seeing

placemats. It's just hard not to share them with you. They are so easy and such a fast

project to make. What would you like to see me make? I can always try a new craft

and share the trials and errors of learning a new craft. Would you like to see more

crochet? Let me know in the comments below.

                         Until next time stays sweet.

Jingle Bell Rag Wreath!

I finally got around to making a rag wreath. They have been catching my eye for over a year and it's finally finished. It was super easy. Just cut fabric into strips and tie them around a wire wreath form. I added a few red jingle bells to make it even more festive and maybe even a little magical. Enjoy the Holiday Season and be creative. When you are finished creating hop over to my fb page and share what you made. I can't wait to see it.

Turkeys! Turkeys Everywhere!

I love Thanksgiving. I love everything about it.  So, this year, I dicided to make some cloth napkins. I didn't want plain fabric for this project. It had to be a fun print, something different. Are these fun or what? I just love the turkeys and the look on their faces. They are not perfect by any means, but I had fun making them and they whip up in a flash. I think next time, though,  I'm going to try different corners. What's your favorite craft project for Thanksgiving?

Flannel Monkey Baby Blanket!

Hi everyone!  I know it's been a long time since I posted last. I've been so busy with my job, Gold Canyon biz, family and everything else that comes along.  I hope you all are doing great and are ready for some more sweetness posts.

A few months ago I made a flannel blanket with monkeys for my nephew.  Yep,  that's right, I said monkeys.  How cute are they?  The paws on the other side a adorable too. I just love finding cute fabric,  don't you?

What are your favorite fabrics/prints to work with?

My Advent Calendar

It's not the best picture but I just had to share our very simple advent calendar we made last night. We used scrapbooking paper!  I love this paper and I don't even scrapbook. The paper can be used in so many different ways. One of the ways I love to use it is as a background for my blog pictures.

So, all we did was roughly cut four squares out of each sheet and folded them. Then we used fun markers to write the numbers. On the inside we wrote simple activities and messages.  Some activities we wrote were go see Christmas lights or write a letter to a friend. I think next year we will get a little more creative with it. What do you put inside your calendars?  Let me know.

Happy Fall

I know, it's not Fall yet.  That makes me a little sad. I just love everything about fall. The colors, the weather,  and pumpkin everything.  Don't you?

Anyway,  I was so excited about the beginning of September that I just had to show you all this lovely sign that I just finished.  It's nice and simple.  Just some paint, stickers, hot glue and other fun things. So, here it is. I hope you like it.

What's your favorite season?  Let me know in the comments.

Welcome Fall with a Wreath

Hello, I hope you all are doing well this lovely Autumn Saturday.  I am, unfortunately,  trying to get over a cold. Other than that everything is going good. We are planning our daughter's birthday party. She will be 5 this year and the theme is Hello kitty. Hopefully I will remember to write a post about it.

Ok, lets get to this wreath. This is my first wreath that I have made so this will not be a tutorial.  I am planning on making the next one as a tutorial. I wanted to show it to all of you and hopefully hear what you think. Thanks for stopping by.

Learning How to Sew: Project #2

I finally finished my second sewing project. I was going to make a pillow cover but decided on a throw pillow for my daughter. Sewing with a  machine is getting easier but I still need more practice. So, here it is. I love the fabric, it reminds me of summer. I would love to hear what you think. If you have any advice on sewing I would love some tips. Thanks for stopping by and please stop by often.
